Scaling a group practice, leading a sorority of high maintenance women during college, serving as Department Chair of a collegiate clinical program, and managing a nonprofit committee have taught me that leadership is a skill and mindset. Although leadership is rewarding, it can be lonely and emotionally taxing. Creating a space to support emerging group practice owners to serve the needs of their community while also keeping a healthy work-life balance is something you deserve.

In 2023, Wellness Practice Collective, LLC launched to offer concrete administrative support, education opportunities, and consultative services to aid clinicians in “leveling up” their practice.

Meet Jenn Bovee

Jenn Bovee, LCSW, is a distinguished mental health professional recognized for her expertise in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. 

Her practice, The Mental Wellness Center, is deeply rooted in neurodiversity affirming principles, ensuring an inclusive and supportive environment for all clients. Jenn's areas of specialty are expansive and inclusive, catering to individuals involved in Kink/BDSM lifestyles, non-monogamous relationships, and polyamorous communities. She is also dedicated to supporting clients with chronic illnesses, helping them navigate the complexities and challenges that come with long-term health conditions. 

In addition to her clinical work, Jenn is an accomplished author, having penned two insightful books: "How To Learn To Love Yourself" and "Soaring with Chronic Illness." These works reflect her commitment to empowering individuals to lead fulfilling lives despite the challenges they may face.

Meet Samantha Goldberg

Samantha Goldberg is the Founder + CEO of Open Space Counseling, Consulting & Wellness, a multi-location practice with employees across the state of Pennsylvania. Since 2018, Open Space CCW has expanded to a diverse team of 30+ clinicians, leadership staff, and support staff, and offers a graduate-level internship program for rising clinicians who want to gain more competency in serving the LGBTQIA+ community.

If you've been around Sam, then you’ve probably heard her coming from a mile away, and you know that she is passionate about group practice ownership. She has a dynamic presence and a “nothing is off limits” approach, which tends to make people feel more comfortable quickly.Sam loves working with group practice owners who want to make their practices genuinely more inclusive, create systems that increase efficiency and allow them to scale (hellooo spreadsheets!), and improve their culture and recruitment strategies.

Kim Lapo, the driving force behind helping mental health group practice owners achieve the ultimate work/life balance! As a seasoned Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker and co-founder of Courser Lapo Therapeutic Wellness, Kim has been growing and scaling her practice since 2014. With a team of over 25 therapists, her practice offers mental health therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language therapy, and psychiatric nurse practitioners across four thriving locations in Kansas.

In 2020, Kim launched Modern Practice Support, a game-changing solution of providing a team of mental health-focused virtual assistants specialized in client care, billing, credentialing, and serving practices across the United States. Kim’s expertise doesn't stop at therapy; she excels at helping practice owners expand into multi-specialty practices, helping multi-owner practices leveraging their strengths and zones of genius, helping to launch multi-location practices while maintaining authenticity. Meet Tara Vossenkemper

Tara works with group practice owners who are passionate about creating a thriving workplace with humanity at the center and structure as the outgrowth.

She is the Founder and Visionary of The Counseling Hub, a group counseling practice with locations in Columbia and Jefferson City, Missouri, as well as the Founder and Lead Consultant with Vossenkemper Consulting, a consulting agency for practice owners. Tara has a zest for culture, vision, values, organizational structure, and employee morale.

On a personal note, Tara is known for her colorful language, obsession with The Office (US version), and love of hashtags (#AllDay). When she’s not working, Tara can be found chasing her three young kids, trying to find some quiet time with her husband, and thinking about her next creative endeavor.
