My life has been eventful in the last month! I traveled to NYC twice, did a small group workshop at Mike Michalowicz's office, read a book that changed my life, redesigned the structure of my practice, converted my 80 employees to Teleworkers, and now we're killin' it. We want to share what we're doing so that it can help you!
Thankfully, the week before COVID-19 hit, I spent the day with other business owners learning from Mike Michalowicz, author of Profit First, Clockwork, and Fix This Next. He shared his most crucial business development, stabilizing, and scaling strategies with me which is now proving to be perfect timing! I took 10 pages of notes, asked tons of questions, learned the minute details of his strategies, and I want to share them with you for FREE!
I've decided to put my best tips for stabilizing and scaling your group practice during uncertain times in a series of emails and free downloads but I need you to join the mailing list if you're not already on it. There's too much for one document, and it's hard to share the stories that support the points unless it's written in emails!
GET MY 5-STEP PLANThe Coronavirus is unlike anything we could have planned for. With that being said, what we are doing and the order we are doing it in, is crucial. In the email series have documented the steps I have taken with my team with THREE goals in mind.
PROFITABILITY. PROFITABILITY. PROFITABILITY.
We moved the entire practice to Telework and we've had many realizations as a result. We've checked many boxes in terms of what we're doing to keep our clients and employees safe. I will tell you about all of it in my emails.
During these uncertain times, one thing is certain. Without billable sessions we can't keep the doors open. I will share strategies that we are using (that work).
I'm making it my mission to only lose employees as the absolute last resort. I don't want anyone to fear for their job and wonder how they're going to feed their family. I've been strategic in this, and I will share with you what I've done and continue to do.
Before Corona hit hard, I had a two hour meeting with my team. The one question I asked was, "What is the goal of this company?" Believe it or not, NOT ONE person answered this correctly. Who's to blame for that?
But they know now! The goal of the company is profitability. Without profit, we can't operate. If we can't operate, we can't care for others. If we don't care for others, we can't help them. If we can't help them, we are not fulfilling our purpose.
GET MY EMAILSAnd I think these five steps will help you feel better about your decisions, give you some new ideas, AND, there's a big gift hidden somewhere in the emails too! I can honestly say that I couldn't be more proud of my team during this pandemic. They are stepping up in ways that I honestly never thought they would. As business owners, we try to bear the weight of the practice ourselves, and what I'm seeing is that my team has a willingness to step up and pick up their own load for the sake of the team.
